|
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for creating and carrying out a detailed business plan outlining activities and goals of Market Sector Leaders and directing them to ensure success.
*Work with Market Sector Leaders to identify and develop prospects that have both short and long term potential for new business
*Develop execution strategies for converting opportunities to new business
*Understand and communicate LAD's strengths and capabilities; collaborate with Marketing to develop capabilities presentations and develop plans that can be effectively executed in the field
*Cultivate the firm's relationships within the DC Metropolitan Area through outreach programs, business opportunity meetings, networking events, committees, associations (DCBIA, SMPS, AIA, etc.)
*Work with Marketing to develop marketing campaigns and customer presentations customized to a potential client's need
*Arrange business opportunity meetings between LAD and key potential decision makers
*Maintain and utilize Deltek Vision to report complete, accurate and timely records of all individual activities
*Coordinate and collaborate with Market Sector Leaders and Project Managers on leads, sales strategies, communications and opportunities
*Assist Market Sector Leaders and Project Managers in the management and maintenance of client relationships
*Monitor marketing conditions and report observations to the Managing Principal, Director of Operations and Market Sector Leaders as to assist the firm in strategic planning activities Qualifications *Degree in Business, Marketing or professional affiliation (architecture or interior design)
*10+ yrs of business development experience in an architecture or interior design firm in the DC Metropolitan Area
*Strong ability to communicate and coordinate actions
*Strong computer skills; Deltek Vision CRM database experience a plus
*Excellent client management, customer service orientation and writing and presentation skills
*Proven track record in A/E related sales
*Professional attitude and approach with personal charisma
*Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice
