Minimum of BS / BA in Toxicology, Public Health, Environmental Engineering / Science or related discipline. MS/PhD a plus. 10+ years of directly related experience. Job Description: Responsible for performance of baseline risk assessment risk assessments under DOD Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) task orders. Consults with project managers, technical staff, and client staff on risk assessment issues. Responsible for developing risk assessment technical approach and cost estimates, project planning documents, data analysis, development of preliminary remedial goals, report writing, and presenting MEC/MC risk assessment approaches and findings to project stakeholders. Ensures that risk assessment considerations are incorporated into project planning documents. Trains junior staff in performance of MEC/MC risk assessment. Travel required to attend project meetings with stakeholders. Other Requirements: Must possess (1) excellent writing and oral communication skills; (2) working knowledge of DOD, Federal and state regulations and guidance, including EM 2001-1-4, EM 1110-1-4009, AR 200-1, EPA 540/1-89/002, EPA 50/G-89/004, dealing with Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC), munitions constituents (MC) risk assessment that adheres to the requirements of CERCLA and NCP; (3) working knowledge of and experience with USEPA human health and ecological risk assessment / statistical protocol; (4) demonstrated knowledge of USEPA and state-specific risk assessment methodologies and policies; (5) experience in the use of risk assessment techniques to develop preliminary remedial goals; and (6) experience in negotiating with regulatory agencies. Experience in completion of Baseline Risk Assessments, from proposal preparation, project planning through data analysis and risk characterization. Must be willing to participate in all project tasks ranging from data analysis to report preparation. Computer proficiency with MS Office including Project. Drug Test Required. EOE, M/F/D/V.
