Our Boston office is involved energy projects ranging from transmission and distribution schemes through to generation work for both conventional thermal generation as well as renewable energy projects.
Job Description Due to a recent major project win we are currently looking to add to our team with an experienced civil design engineer.
You will be asked to plan and execute civil engineering work on projects, including site grading and determination of cut and fills, site drainage and stormwater design and roadway design. You will be responsible for operating within established budgets and schedules and will be asked to perform complex engineering tasks requiring familiarity with the broad field of civil engineering. The role interfaces with engineers and designers on projects and you may be asked to supervise subordinate engineers and designers. The civil engineer will also perform calculations and generate drawings utilizing PC-based civil engineering design software. As and when required you will make independent engineering studies, calcs, sketches, reports, analyses, specs, interpretations and conclusions. The role will also support proposal preparation.
Candidate Specification We require candidates to have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and ideally you will have achieved POE registration. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a significant track record in similar civil engineering projects ideally involving the power sector.
