We currently have an opportunity seeking an Associate Director to help manage the delivery of projects and support the Director of Management Consulting in providing commercial and technical support to a variety of clients and projects, and provide added leadership to the Management Consulting team.
Principal Duties
* Take full responsibility for the overall establishment and maintenance of Business Management System documentation, Financial Management System fee/resource/progress forecasts, prompt Client invoicing, and provision of business development information for projects. * Take full responsibility for effective service delivery in terms of time, cost and quality; ensuring application of best practice as set out in the Project Procedures Manual, and compliance with the Commission Execution Plan. * Take the lead and set the example for the professional management of staff under your control and take full responsibility for the proper discharge of their obligations to the Company as Commission Managers. * Take the lead in developing excellent working relationships with Clients and fellow consultants with a view to maximizing opportunities for extension of commissions repeat business and positive recommendations to potential Clients. * Take the lead in the marketing and business development initiatives of the office, and make a significant contribution to the marketing and business development initiatives of the Company. * Take the lead in the professional and effective operation of the office and make a significant contribution to the professional and effective operation of the Company. * Take the lead in encouraging staff to gain enhanced skills and greater competency levels than the minimum required for their position, and appropriate higher qualifications. * Assist with executing engagement with clients and performing service delivery when necessary. * Assist with administrative actions to execute new contracts and work releases, set up invoicing and other support work. * Be able to address the complexities of the wider communities of interest related to the client capital project and related organizations, which requires tailored and coordinated delivery of best practice processes and tools.
Group Relations
As an Associate Director, you will be directed by and report to a Director or VP acting as your designated Line Manager.
Skills & experience
* The ability to build effective relationships, with a background which will aid sound and effective judgment on issues of program and cost of delivering projects. * Demonstrable desire to produce results, meet timescales and work to the highest standard.
Typical Types of Engagements:
* Assist clients with development of guidelines and procedures * Support cost and schedule risk analysis of major projects * Facilitate discussions with project teams for various types of exercises * Provide knowledge management and risk management to clients * Assist in project reviews and benchmarking * Support cost and schedule dispute and claims analysis
Experience/Educational Requirements:
* A Bachelors Degree from an accredited University - preferably in Engineering, Business, Accounting, or applied field of training. MBA is strongly preferred. * Experience - Individual Contributor 5 to 10 years
Supervisory 2 to 5 years
* Functional and applied knowledge in Energy, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and related industries Scheduling Analysis, Risk Management, Cost Engineering, Planning, Project Management, Contracts, Finance, Budgeting, Personnel, Accounting, International Operations and Materials Management activities * 5+ years experience as a member of a project management team, (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) a must. * International experience is preferred, as both international and domestic operations form the basis of the business development and client related business activities. * Ability to quickly master knowledgeable of the companys businesses and organization and the ability to develop a global network of contacts.
