Duties:


This position is located within the Division of Facility Management at Grand Teton National Park and reports directly to the Chief of Facility Management. The employee serves as the Branch Chief of Project Management and has the authority and responsibility to initiate, establish, guide, and control a broad range of design and construction projects from inception through completion. The efforts undertaken by the Project Management work group are intense, fast paced, and critical to the Division's ability to protect park resources while providing for the needs of visitors, employees and partners. The Project Management work group consists of three permanent full-time Project Managers, five term Project Managers, three Facility Management Systems Specialists, an Administrative Assistant, and several summer seasonal interns whom the incumbent of this position directly supervises.

In addition, the employee serves as a contracting officers representative (COR); requests funding clearances for contract modifications; serves as a champion of sustainable design and environmentally sensitive planning, design, and construction; creates and submits annual work plans to the Division Chief; and uses financial management knowledge and techniques to achieve project results while maintaining fiscal integrity. The employee keeps the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent briefed on the status of major projects and advised of critical needs or issues that arise during the execution of multiple, simultaneous, planning, design, and construction efforts.
