Business Manager   Employer: Covanta Energy Job Location: Newark , NJ Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Energy Producers- Developers Job Description: The primary role of the CFS (Covanta Field Services) business manager is properly maintain the finances of the CFS organization with regard to 100% billing out of CFS operating costs for field repair, maintenance and installation work by the CFS crews. Routine financial management is particularly focused on; establishing an annual budget of costs and billable services, reporting on the actual financials monthly as well as forecasting full year estimates on a monthly basis. Additional oversight of CFS expenses; tools, materials, equipment, personal business expenses and CAPEX expenditure. These expenses require close communication and coordination with the field crews and director of CFS. The business manager is the primary contact for other Covanta services in resolving financial reporting, asset disposition, IT interface, purchasing interface and reporting to SVP of Operations and Business. Continue to review and make system improvements including possible restructure of the groups billing and cost structure. The position will be located at the Essex facility or the Fairfield office. Position Requirements Qualifications: • BS in business, accounting or other applicable field Experience • Minimum 10 years in accounting/ business management in contracted maintenance, construction or industry services. • Fluent use of Excel, Word and Access software • Experienced with PeopleSoft software a plus • Experienced in developing and maintaining positive customer relationships Company Description: Covanta Energy is an internationally recognized owner and operator of Energy-from-Waste and power generation projects.
