Job Description:
Parsons is currently seeking a candidate to provide Business Development leadership and direction in the USA in Pharmaceuticals, Biotech and overall Life Science market selling program management, engineering and construction management services.

Requirements:

- Understands business negotiations and recognizes and acts upon opportunities to promote the Company and Parsons Corporation expertise.
- Responsible for identifying, developing, and/or maintaining accounts with major clients. Executes long-term business marketing and sales plans.
- Develops business development strategies for their accounts. Establishes and cultivates long-term relationships with key client officials.
- Seeks opportunities to strengthen client relationships. Identifies clients within area of specialty and develops sales strategy. Understands and responds to potential client needs and objectives.
- Directs a market campaign. Establishes and maintains client contacts and develops sales strategy.
- Strengthens current business ties; coordinates meetings between clients/potential clients and technical or other key individuals.
- Gives leadership in the preparation of proposals.
- Develops effective presentations of the Companies capabilities.
- Determines pricing models and obtains senior management approvals.
- Manages significant proposal efforts covering various types of contracts including both cost reimbursable and lump sum/fixed price forms; obtains pricing and bidding approvals per corporate policy. Negotiates contracts and secrecy agreements and understands the legal and contractual issues and ramifications in those agreements and protects Parsons interests.
- Continually keeps abreast of the industry.
- Keeps abreast of overall business trends, particularly the current business climate.
- Conducts surveys to determine promising areas of development.
- Establishes and maintains numerous contacts within and outside the industry.
- Follows up in a timely manner on all possible leads.

ESSENTIALS:

The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong knowledge of the industry and the key players with the pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Must have a proven record of successfully identifying, developing and maintaining key accounts with the major pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The individual must have experience in business development associated with engineering and construction companies. A thorough understanding of proposal pricing, contract terminology, negotiations with potential clients, and the Company's policies and business objectives, is required. This individual incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills. In addition, an exceptional ability to represent the Company favorably, to develop new clients, and to negotiate with key members of other firms, is also required.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must have a BS in Engineering, Business or equivalent with at least 12-15 years of diversified experience, primarily within business development. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of Business Development in the Life Science industry. A demonstrated ability to represent the Company favorably and to negotiate with key members of other firms is also required. Proven sales track record in major education and municipal infrastructure markets.
