Senior Vice President   Employer: Ulteig Engineers Inc Job Location: Fargo , ND Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Engineers Job Description: The Sr. Vice President grows the business within a defined sector to ensure long-term sustainability by building a strong industry reputation and developing the ability to lead other technical professionals to excel. This position will provide leadership to the following civil disciplines: aviation, municipal, PEI, transportation and water/wastewater. Additionally it is responsible for the development, delivery and expansion of all areas and will be charged with building a cohesive, sector-wide, global Water consulting practice at Ulteig. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES *Responsible for strategic growth and development of the civil sector within Ulteig. *Manage client expectations and relationships through the transition to one civil sector. *Successfully uses resources and expertise across Ulteig to efficiently respond to client's objectives. *Develops strategies that ultimately yield a dominant civil market share. *Coordinates with the other Sector Leaders to use other employee’s resources within the firm to carry out the strategies and delegated duties as appropriate. *Develops and manages the business plan including both financial and people goals associated with the civil sector’s growth, development and expansion. *Establishes sales goals and justifies business development expenses in the annual budget. *Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies and other civic groups as appropriate. *Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations. *Executes strategies that have been developed as a part of the Strategic Plan and/or Sector Business Plan which are applicable to the specific clients served by the Civil Sector. *Works directly with Office Managers, other Sector Leaders, Corporate Officers and other staff to coordinate and resolve matters affecting the sector operations. *Ensure appropriate quality controls across the sector, implementing QA/QC manual and procedures *Leverage industry intelligence to advance sector technical capabilities. JOB QUALIFICATIONS *Exceptional leadership skills with both strategic and operational strengths. *Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. *15+ years experience working on progressively larger multi-disciplinary projects with increased responsibility and leadership. *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network in social situation as well as present/educate in larger group setting. *Industry experience and knowledge NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB *Requires some travel. *Requires a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record. *Requires prolonged sitting, bending, and stretching with periodic standing, stooping and lifting. *Requires the ability to lift 20 lbs or more.
