Senior Geotechnial Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
Jacobs Engineering Group (Jacobs), a leading international engineering/architecture firm, seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager with at least 15 years experience, preferably spent in the design of tunnels, temporary excavation support systems, and underground structures to join our Boston office. We are looking for the brightest talent to lead the technical effort for a wide variety of challenging geotechnical projects including bridges, tunnels, slopes, ground treatment, retaining structures, and excavation suppor systems.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following requirements:
* MS Geotechnical Engineering; Registered PE license.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering; experience in design of tunnels, deep foundation systems, retaining structures, temporary excavation support systems and underground structures.
* Experience with the design and construction phase support of various tunnel and microtunneling projects.
* Finite Element modeling experience; PLAXIS and/or FLAC preferred but not required.
* Project management experience preferred.
* Good communication skills essential for team-based working.
* Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
Job Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. An MS degree in geotechnical engineering or related field and professional registration are required.
