The Lexington Aerospace Design Center specializes in the design and analysis of airframe structures and avionics interfaces. We are currently looking for a Chief Electrical Engineer. Principle Responsibilities: 1) Directly supervises Avionics/Electrical System Design Engineers, Designers, and Drafters, with responsibilities including but not limited to: a) Reviews time tickets, yearly performance reviews, and salary actions b) Identifies problem areas and provides action plans c) Creates and manages training & development plans for team members d) Builds and maintains discipline and morale for his/her staff e) Responsible for technical quality of all deliverables produced by assigned team f) Provides technical direction to the team 2) Assists in the development of project scope and technical content for projects, including preparation of job estimates, bid responses and proposals 3) Works integrally with Project Manager to provide resource in this discipline to meet project and program requirements 4) Establishes liaison with client, determines client requirements and assures that all design data, criteria and conditions affecting the deliverable are issued to and understood by the members of the project team 5) Performs design tasks as required 6) Provides back up to the Project Managers 7) Reviews and monitors all projects within his/her discipline Qualifications: Education: 1) B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent education based on experience in the industry 2) M.S. degree is preferred Experience: 1) Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Avionics/Electrical System Design 2) Minimum of two (2) years of supervision of multi-discipline teams of engineers, designers or drafters. 3) Previous Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation Avionics/Electrical System Design Engineering experience is preferred Company Description: Belcan Corporation provides full-service engineering, design and build, application technology, technical and temporary staffing, information technology, and multimedia services worldwide.
