Job Location: Houston , TX Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Building Owners Job Description: Essential Functions Provide engineering support for new business development Provide technical due diligence for acquisitions. Provide engineering inputs to the business development financial models including performance, capital cost, and operation assumptions. Provide engineering support for generic new build cost and performance estimates. Provide engineering support for capital improvement projects at existing facilities. Provide home office engineering for assigned projects during construction and operations. Provide engineering support of existing assets as needed and requested. Support corporate-wide performance improvement program for operating assets. Encourage and enable innovation on a regular basis within the group. Provide mentoring for junior employees and ensure that direct reports receive training required to provide the skill sets requested. Manage the services from 3rd party engineering companies to ensure that we receive the desired results. Assume additional responsibilities as directed by senior corporate executives. Act as a team member with all employees of SUEZ staff Comply with all SUEZ policies and procedures Education /Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Science Professional Engineering License Strong leadership, management, communications, and interpersonal skills. Ten years experience with strong demonstrated electrical and mechanical engineering in a variety of technologies. Technical knowledge of power generating facility equipment and technology. Well developed communication and writing skills. Proficiency in personal computer applications using MS-Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access), and engineering software (such as Thermoflow / PEACE, AutoCAD, MS-Project, Gatecycle, Virtual Plant, GE-APPS, GE-GTP Estimator, etc,) Willingness and the ability to travel up to 30% of time.
