Job Description: |
Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the US government. Our services also support homeland security initiatives and reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters.
Project
Parsons has been awarded a project for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) to conduct facility condition assessments for approximately 6,500 buildings located on U.S. Navy installations throughout the Continental United States and Guam. Buildings in the Continental United States are located in all six Navy Regions (Southeast, Naval District of Washington, Mid-Atlantic, Southwest, Midwest, and Northwest).
The purpose of these assessments is two-fold: 1) help the Navy to establish an accurate inventory of existing buildings and building systems and 2) evaluate deficient conditions in Navy buildings and provide repair and replacement costs.
Parsons anticipates conducting training in early November 2008 for all project employees. Field work will begin following training and run through the end of May 2009. All project deliverables are due to the Navy by July 2009.
