McKee Medical Center is a 132-bed, acute-care hospital located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, just 30 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.
McKee prides itself on providing excellent patient care, the latest in technological advances and caring attention to patient needs. Since opening in 1976, McKee has been dedicated to supporting our patient's physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Through the years, McKee has lead the way in health care innovation. The hospital's original planners designed all patient rooms as private patient rooms where individuals can recover in a peaceful, healing environment.
Banner Health is the leading nonprofit provider of health care in every community we serve. We are deeply committed to our nonprofit mission:
“We exist to make a difference in people's lives through excellent patient care.”
We Value:
* People Above All …by treating those we serve and each other with compassion, dignity and respect.
* Excellence …by acting with integrity and striving for the highest quality care and service.
* Results …We show we value results by exceeding the expectations of the people we serve, as well as the expectations we set for ourselves.
As a nonprofit health care company, Banner Health exists to support our charitable mission of providing health care services to the communities we serve, rather than generate profits. That means the every dollar we earn is reinvested into new hospital beds, new or expanding patient care services, new technologies, maintaining existing equipment and facilities, and paying employees’ salaries.
Banner also provides charity care through our Financial Assistance Program. In addition, we subsidize the medical education costs for hundreds of medical residents (physicians in training), the majority of whom will stay in Arizona.
Additionally, Banner provides important, free services like the Banner Poison Control Center Hotline, health information provided by registered nurses through our Banner Health Call Center and school-based health clinics for kids in economically challenged areas. Clinics throughout the Banner Health system also help the working uninsured or under-insured by providing care at a reduced or sliding-fee basis (based on income).
