Company Description: The New York Racing Association, Inc. is a private, non-profit association that owns and operates the three largest racetracks in New York: Aqueduct, Belmont Park and Saratoga. Last year, more than two million people attended the races at NYRA tracks and enjoyed the finest quality of thoroughbred racing in the world. Saratoga Race Course is a 350-acre racetrack in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. NYRA is the cornerstone of New York's Thoroughbred racing industry, which provides 17,000 jobs and $1.4 billion in annual impact on the New York State economy. Last year, NYRA's Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course were ranked first and second, respectively, among all North American racetracks in average daily purse distribution. Since its inception, NYRA has contributed more than $3 billion in direct tax revenue to the State of New York. At Aqueduct in Ozone Park, Queens, construction is planned for the addition of a casino with 4,500 Video Lottery Terminals (such as video poker, video slot machines, etc.).
