I am in the process of being interviewed for the 3rd time with a very prestigious construction employer. I am thrilled about a forthcoming offer. However, I am to interview with the president and I know that he is going to ask me why I have left my prior job. I have carefully avoided this question in the past 2 interviews. In my prior employment, I was terminated for the first time in my life. How do I handle this tough question?
I recently interviewed with a construction employer and as I was pulling out of the parking lot I saw a manager from another dept in my construction employer. I am not sure why she was there but when I see her in the office, there is a bit of tension and a very uncomfortable feeling.
I have not interviewed or job searched in over 10 years. When I accepted the job offer with my present construction employer, I was 3 classes away from completing a bachelor’s program. I alluded to this on my resume but actually never finished the program. I am now in the process of being promoted to a position that requires an advanced degree. I am not sure as to what I should do- continue with the lie, risk being fired, get passed over for the promotion or come clean.
In a recent interview, I was asked some questions about my marital status and family life. I realize that this is inappropriate as well as illegal. I got around the questions but want to get some advise on this in the future
