Position Overview: The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will provide leadership to logistics team which includes warehousing, transportation, importing and demand planning for purchased finished goods. This position will be responsible for the strategic as well as the tactical operations of the warehousing, transportation and logistics in North America. This position will be the key for ensuring customs compliance as well as preparing our Warehouse and Carrier scorecards. This role has a key responsibility in ensuring excellence in our perfect order index. Principal Accountabilities: Directly lead and manage the team responsible for the functional areas of importing, transportation, freight payables, and warehoused finished goods planning, including day-to-day operations, employee performance, budget/cost responsibility, and salary administration. Define and pursue a warehouse and logistics strategy consistent with our BU strategy to develop an optimal domestic and international supply chain strategy, leveraging global resources within Cargill Oversee warehouse management for all North American warehouses for CCC. Negotiate and ensure compliance of contracts; manage food safety audits; maintain performance measures; manage relationship & accountability; financial responsibility in ensuring budget is met; inventory management & accuracy Negotiate and ensure compliance of contracts with 3rd party carriers. Analyze trade routes to identify targeted cost-savings opportunities; develop & maintain performance measures; manage relationships & accountability; development of freight P&L Develop and or support organizational, process and technological changes into the current supply chain. Ensure BU complies with customs laws, regulations and policies for North America. Support and develop competent personnel. Direct self audit and follow up on corrective actions. Maximize employee engagement through leadership, mentorship, training, objective developments, and providing assistance to staff in understanding their role in the company's success. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
