Job Summary:

Provide leadership and overall management direction for all branch office functions including office management, business development, project oversight, and client relations. Uphold company core values.



Essential Functions:

.. Follow ALL REQUIREMENTS OF THE COMPANY SAFETY PROGRAM. Take
personal responsibility for Safety in working environment. Promote safety among peers, subordinates and supervisors.
.. Plan, staff, and supervise all branch activities
• Coordinate and communicate organizational goals and strategies
• Direct and conduct professional, technical and non-exempt recruiting, ensuring
the consistent employment of highly qualified staff
• Oversee human resources administration, conduct performance reviews,
promote teamwork
• Mentor and aid in the development of subordinate staff
• Maintain continual open communication with staff


.. Maintain positive financial posture for the branch
• Hold profit/loss responsibility for assigned operational unit
• Monitor budget
• Provide weekly and monthly reports on branch status


.. Provide senior project management for construction, operations, and consulting on select projects
• Provide input into initial job setup
• Track costs and billings to minimize overhead and maximize revenue
• Coordinate with client


.. Maintain an effective business/client development program
• Ensure superior client service and unqualified client satisfaction
• Meet with existing clients to propose solutions to problems, suggest methods of reducing/controlling costs, and generate additional business opportunities
• Participate in community activities and professional organizations to develop and improve local network
• Generate new prospects and gain admittance to their bidder’s list
• Lead bid or proposal efforts


.. Works in conjunction with PCM to establish branch office objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy
• Ensure adherence to same


.. Perform additional duties as assigned


Positions Supervised:

.. Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Engineers, administrative staff


Qualifications:

.. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent
combination of education and experience
.. Professional Engineer registration and/or General Contractor license helpful
.. Minimum 10 years experience in the construction industry including engineering, office, field and project management experience


Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements:

.. Extensive knowledge of industry practices, processes, design, finance, health and safety, and management
.. Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and standards, including the crisis management plan
.. Complete understanding of the full range of CDM services – CECO Vision
.. Proven business acumen
.. Working knowledge of labor relations and associated negotiations
.. Superior communication, organizational, supervisory, facilitation, negotiation, and planning skills essential
.. Proficient business development, marketing, and sales skills
.. General personal computer skills including Primavera, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook or similar software
