Do you have to pay overtime to a salaried employee?
No you don't have to pay a salaried employee overtime, however if position is requiring greater responsibility or work than what was agreed upon then an extra bonus or increase in salary is appropriate. However if the increase in workload is temporary than no. If the construction employee goes beyond the position requirements than a construction employer should reward this good behavior in some fashion to encourage future such efforts. |
