What are some Illegal questions to avoid on an interview.
Many construction interviewers ask discriminatory questions inadvertently because they simply don’t know any better. But legally they are required to. Any questions regarding race, cooler, religion, age, national origin, birthplace, sex or physical disability according to the EEOC. Specific questions are: When did you graduate? Do you have children? Do you have an disabilities? Have you ever been hospitalized and if so for what condition? Are you a US Citizen? Is here anything that would prevent you from working weekends or holidays? Is your name of German origin? If asked an illegal question you may want to answer the questions candidly unless you feel they are intending to discriminate. If you feel it is being used to discriminate, you should contact the HR authority of the construction employer construction interviewing you and if you are not satisfied with the result, contact the appropriate EEOC office in your area.
