Do you have any statistics on executive employment contracts?


A Construction Executive poll of 342 employers in the A/E/C industry was given in August 2003 on the subject of employment contracts.
The poll resulted in the following statistics:
The average term is 3 years for Coe’s and 12 months for executives
82% contain a non-compete and confidentiality/nondisclosure clauses
86% of Coe’s and 32% of executives currently have them
49% contain automatic renewal or extensions to continue beyond the initial term
94% provided for severance pay
59% stipulated that contract disputes would be handled by binding arbitration
