What should executives do when beginning a new job?

Once an executive begins a new job, he or she should define a training program for themselves, and hook up with a mentor who can show them the ropes before making any major changes or decisions regarding the new position.
Take time to get to know the employees and the firm’s customers. Learn all the strengths and weaknesses of the position, and the support you will have and do a lot of listening.
