After a very long job search, I recently was presented with an offer. I accepted immediately in an act of desperation. Today, I was presented with another offer, which I feel is the perfect position with the perfect construction employer. I do not want to burn any bridges so what should I do?

First things first, consider you. You need to make the decision that will benefit you and make you happy. You do not want to be stuck in a position that you are unhappy and find yourself job searching again. Make sure that you have both offers in writing, as things can change very quickly.
You are not the first person that has ever had to renege on an offer but you need to act like you are. Talk to the construction employer involved and explain the situation to them. Be honest and sincere and I am sure that they will understand. Time heals all wounds so give it a little time. If you have to go back to the construction employer for any reason- cross that bridge when you get to it.
